Matricaria chamomilla

Chamomile is a popular remedy for topical burns, eczema, and dermatitis due to its soothing and healing properties. It’s commonly used for chronic skin conditions and combating bacterial infections from open wounds by reducing colonization and/or spread.

Calendula officinalis

Calendula repairs the skin barrier and prevents bacterial infection after a breach in the skin from continuous scratching. It’s further used for wound healing caused by burns, bruises, and ulcers making this an extremely diverse herb.

Lavandula

Lavender oil is a soothing herb that provides hydration to the skin and improves dryness, moisture, and the itch sensation. It is commonly added to products to act on hyperpigmentation, eczema, and scarring.

Rosa canina L.

Rosehip oil is hydrating and used for conditions like eczema and hyperpigmentation. It reduces inflammation and dryness through moisture trapping, and adds vitamins A + C to the skin for a healthier looking appearance.

Olea europaea

Extracted from the olive tree, olive oil contains healthy fats, antioxidants, and vitamins that repair the skin barrier by assisting in collagen production, wound closure time, and infection rate. Olive oil moisturizes the skin by locking in moisture and anti-inflammatory properties, to give the skin a smoother texture and healthier appearance.

Made from honeybees, beeswax is an important protective component needed for the skin. It adds a physical coating to the applied area to initiate the healing and repairing of the skin layers. Beeswax helps increase resistance to microbes on the skin and blocks external irritants due to the thick layer it produces.
